Totally Random

Do you ever just come upon a totally random activity in the middle of an action-packed day? Well, here is one for all you random people out there.

I was on my way home for lunch this afternoon---walking as I normally do, despite a bit of drizzle. As I plodded along, I recounted all the things that had happened that morning, turning my day from a restful and joyful start to a discouraging and overwhelming blob! One thing after another. I felt about as despondent as the drizzle coming down to hit my umbrella. So many questions filled my head: How was I going to work it all out? How was I going to get it all done? I mean, it was a bad, bad day! How could it get any worse!!!!????

I rounded the corner, and there it was, folks! Right in the middle of the road was a duck. Just standing there! Standing right in the middle of nowhere. I mean, there was a whole pond across the way.........and he (or she, for that matter) had to choose the middle of the road. Yep! Just stood there, lookin' around.

I totally laughed out loud! I couldn't help it. I mean, it was totally random----completely unexpected to see a fat body on top of two skinny little legs just hangin' out in the middle of the street without a care in the world! Oh, to be like that!...........................................without the fat body and skinny little legs, of course!
